Brands Or Bargains?
From childhood, good bargains always fascinated me compared to quality or brands. But when I started working I always heard lots of discussion about designer wear, unique shops and products. I was always a silent spectator during these discussions.When I went shopping with friends its the same story.While they discussed with no end about the items, I never got involved.
For the same cost price, I would choose many-good-looking-no brand watches rather than going for a single-branded watch.The same with slippers and dresses...But when it comes to bargained products, they usually do not last long and many a times fail you at the wrong time.(its almost 50% true for me)
Now I am wondering "Should I chose brands rather than bargains ?"

if someone gives me a good brand's 2000 Rs product and 4*500 Rs product which looks good then i will for sure choose the 2000 Rs product : )
Somehow for me the cost and brand is for the quality :D
Sometimes i know that its bit too costly... but fine i want the best!

I would also say Brands when you can still afford it. I don't mean that branded items are always good and last long. But still, that adds to your personality. Moreover, I am reminded of one of my lead's words on this. "Each employee represents the company, so their dress, shoes, watch and their actions should also reflect what the company provides them with." I agree to this 100%. A person earning 50K in India cannot go in hawai slippers (But he can go in a hawai like Adidas chappals..thats a different story)
Ofcourse, there are many items that are not branded but still good. When you are not able to decide between a 2000 Rs and four 500 Rs stuff, I will come to a compromise to take two 1000 Rs stuff.
Ofcourse, one other advantage that you have is, when something that is branded fails, you can always say "Nike watch..paaru athukula something failed", "Designer saree - paaru saayam poguthu"..atleast you can claim.

It all depends on the person's outlook and affordability logs.
There will alaways a pride when u possess a branded one, but at the same time ur pocket size is also important.....If the product is not at all affordable/not worth spending at that time period and still u want to posses, Going for bargain is the best soln.
Its all finally whether we are happy with product is more imp.
Green colourla flowera....very diff and bright. Daily seeing the flowers will make ur mood also bright i suppose.
It all comes down to one thing. Your knowledge about the product that you are going to buy.
If you know how to identify the quality of the product, the brand does not matter. If not the brand is just a promise for that quality.
Any new product is always costlier as many of us unaware of the ways to assess it. But once many start producing it, you ought to get more information and with today's internet, you can almost narrow down on what you want to buy. But do you have time to search through the net and do the research?

For me, it depends on the item I buy.... If I am getting a mobile or a special gift for a special occasion(say watch or dress) I prefer to get a good brand so that surely it will last long :)....only a probability though :)
When I am getting dresses/watches just like that I am not very specific.... :)
Irrespective of whether you wear/possess a branded/non-branded one for me what matters most is finally how elegant it makes you look/feel....
Wearing a non-branded dress which makes you look great is certainly better than wearing a branded dress which doesn't make you look great :)
It has always been different according to the age,income, and other expenses.
Any electronic items, I go for a reputed brand. I do not compromise on price. If I can't afford I wait to buy.
Dresses, I do not care for brand. Many times people have asked, what brand it is, since it looked nice. I always feel, we make the dress look nicer than the brand. Better buy dress, according to our taste rather than going for expensive ones.
In general, I think a lot of the utility value and do not go for anything unless it is going to be used. I do not buy extravaganza stuff. Normally I compromise on my purchase. Once in a while buy reputed designer wear. That is it. Be content, happy with whatever I could buy!

Bargain or Brand eh? It really depends on the product and how much usage you'd get out of it. If it's a season deal, bargain works, if it can last forver, go for the brand. My 2 cents :)
